How to sign up for HNSConnect®

HNSConnect® was designed to streamline the claim filing process and is free for all HNS providers. Once you are credentialed as a HNS provider, you will send all primary claims electronically through HNSConnect®.

HNS will assist you in setting up your HNSConnect® account . You will be able to file all HNS claims electronically with the exception of the claims listed below. These exceptions are currently mailed to HNS on a CMS 1500 claim form as the payors cannot yet accept these claims electronically. Once your HNS Provider Rep has contacted you to introduce you to HNS, a HNSConnect® Representative will contact your office to get started with the HNSConnect® setup process.

Here is an overview of the setup process:

  • A HNSConnect® Rep contacts your office and, if necessary, schedules time for a conference call.  We recommend that all billing persons, including the provider, if available, be present on the conference call. It is very important for the provider and all staff members assisting with billing, be present on the conference call so that ALL may learn how to file HNS claims electronically.


  • If a conference call is scheduled, a HNSConnect® Rep will connect to your office computer to assist your office with creating and transmitting a test file to HNS. In order to assist your office better, please CLICK HERE to review the list of claims HNS will need to accurately set up your custom account.
  • A test file is generated from your practice management software and uploaded to the HNSConnect® system.
  • HNS then uses your test file to build a custom account for HNSConnect®. This process usually takes 3-5 business days.
  • HNS will contact your office with testing results and/or confirmation that you are ready to file all HNS claims electronically through HNSConnect®.

 

Please Note: During your HNSConnect® testing phase, you may continue to see HNS patients but will need to hold your claims until your HNSConnect® account is ready. Once your testing has been completed, your HNSConnect® Rep will contact you so that you know when you can begin submitting your HNS claims.
